Program “Live voice of traditions” is presented in Vetka

Program “Live voice of traditions” is presented in Vetka

The solemn opening of the program “Live voice of traditions” took place in F.G. Shklyarov Folks Art Museum of Vetka on 19 April. The program is aimed at preserving the cultural and spiritual legacy. It has been implemented with financial assistance of the UNDP as part of the international technical aid project “Development of an international research and information network on Chernobyl”. As part of the program the full description of expositions of the Vetka museum, including authentic folk songs, were digitized. Now museum visitors, including foreigners, can get along without a guide. Using special equipment they will be able to get audio information about museum exhibits on their own. During the presentation of the program folk music groups of Vetka District performed for participants of the event. Amateur artists of the music groups are live carriers of authentic songs and rites.

The project “Development of an international research and information network on Chernobyl” is developed through joint efforts of the World Health Organization, the UN Children’s Fund, the International Atomic Energy Agency, and the United Nations Development Program. The Belarusian Emergencies Ministry is the national executive agency.
