| 14.02.2014GOMEL, 13 February (BelTA) - Cooperation between scientists and specialists of Belarus and Japan in matters concerning radiation safety after emergencies at nuclear power plants will soon reach a higher level, BelTA learned from Nikolai Vasilkov, Head of the Healthcare Office of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee. In Hiroshima the city's university and the Belarusian national science to practice center for radiation medicine and human ecology signed an agreement on joint research efforts that will allow studying effects of small doses of radiation on humans in detail.

The information was released by Belaya Rus Deputy Chairman Alexander Shatko. He took part in a seminar held for the Gomel Oblast branch of the association, BelTA has learned.

The Indian diplomat is currently on a visit to Gomel. Ways to increase the number of Indian medical students in Belarus had been thoroughly discussed with heads of Belarusian medical schools before.
| 16.01.2014GOMEL, 15 January (BelTA) - A water museum is to be established in Mozyr District in the Year of Hospitality, BelTA learnt from the department for ideology, culture and youth affairs of the Mozyr District Executive Committee. The museum will open in the environmental studies center in the village of Kozenki. The museum will feature several thematic expositions, like water as the basis of life, water provision network, and water conservation and saving.

The statement was made by Chairwoman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina in Gomel on 10 January, BelTA has learned. According to Lidia Yermoshina, since such measurements lack control, the polling is done amateurishly and for specific goals.
