GOMEL, 15 May (BelTA) ? The delegation of the riot police department of
the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam will come to Gomel Oblast on 16
May. The visit will last till the end of the week, BelTA learnt from the
regional branch of the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus.
The Vietnamese specialists will take part in the international conference
?Emergencies: theory, practice, innovations? that will be held at the
Gomel Engineering Institute of the Emergencies Ministry on 16 May.

GOMEL, 7 May (BelTA) ? The 5th national conference of students and young
medical scientists ?Problems and development prospects of medicine? will
be held at the Gomel State Medical University on 7-8 May, BelTA learnt
from the organization committee of the forum.
Over 300 students and young scientists from the CIS member states filed
applications to take part in the conference. Participating in the medical
forum will be leading medical universities of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine,
namely, the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University (Moscow),
the Bogomolets National Medical University (Kyiv).

GOMEL, 30 April (BelTA) ? The Italian association Help for Children Parma
will advance cooperation with Gomel Oblast, Belarus in the sphere of
healthcare and education. The statement was made by the association?s Vice
President Enrico Pelassa, who took part in the oblast practice seminar
?Preserving lives and health of children together? in Gomel, BelTA has
learned.
The Italian side is ready to share the experience of safeguarding
children?s lives and preventing accidents.

Representatives of the German HIV service organizations will visit Belarus
on 23-28 April, BelTA learnt from the BelSet antiAids Association.
The visit to Belarus of ten heads and officials of the German HIV service
organization will be held as part of the joint project. The purpose of the
visit is to show the German colleagues the potential of the members and
partners of the BelSet antiAids Association in the activities on HIV/AIDS,
and to establish cooperation between Belarusian and German
non-governmental organizations.

MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) ? The Japanese Embassy will donate modern medical
equipment to the Yelsk Central District Hospital, BelTA learnt from the
Japanese diplomatic mission in Belarus.
The equipment will be donated as part of Japan?s human security projects.
The Embassy is implementing the Japanese Government?s Grant Assistance for
Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) Scheme.
On 7 September 2010 the Japanese diplomatic mission and the Yelsk hospital
signed a contract on the allocation of $106,331 and an additional contract
estimated at $19,718 on 18 July 2012.
