| 18.04.2014GOMEL, 17 April (BelTA) - The Mozyr District Executive Committee and the People's Government of the city of Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, signed a protocol of intent on trade, economic, cultural and social cooperation. The document signing ceremony took place in Mozyr on 17 April during the official visit of the Chinese delegation to Gomel Oblast, BelTA has learnt. The delegation headed by Cao Xinping, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Xuzhou, includes representatives of the authorities, banking institutions and industrial companies, including the chairpersons of the board of a pharmaceutical company and a company producing construction machinery.

Unknown pages? has been published to the order of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee and under the general editorship of Gomel Oblast Governor Vladimir Dvornik, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee. The book presents the historical facts relating to the little-known period of Gomel Gubernia (1919-1926) when most of the south-eastern part of Belarus was part of Russia.
| 19.03.2014MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – The Gomel airport is working to commission a Doppler weather surveillance radar, BelTA learned from representatives of the Aviation Weather Service of the National Hydrometeorology Center of Belarus. The radar will enter testing mode on 25 March. In September 2014 it will be fully operational. The radar model is the latest and most powerful one. It is adapted to the plain conditions of Belarus for the sake of top quality performance, explained Yekaterina Berezhkova, Chief Meteorologist Engineer of the Aviation Weather Service.
