MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) ? The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus will open a branch, the third one, in Gomel in 2013. The first two are in Novopolotsk and Mogilev, director general of the theater Vladimir Gridyushko told BelTA. ?The Gomel branch will be opened this year. Right now we are working on one-time contracts in Gomel,? the director general said.

GOMEL, 5 April (BelTA) ? The 8th international festival, Land under White Wings, will take place in Mozyr on 22-27 April, BelTA learnt from head of the cultural department of the Mozyr regional executive committee Irina Mironycheva. The children?s forum will gather over 600 young talents from 11 countries including Russia, Estonia, Ukraine, Serbia, Moldova, Romania, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan.

GOMEL, 2 April (BelTA) ? The Gomel Regional Drama Theater and the Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Drama Theater named after Maxim Gorky will exchange tours for the first time, BelTA learnt from head of the literature section of the theater Irina Oleinik. The Gorky drama theater is one of Russia?s oldest theaters. It will be in Belarus on 3-11 April and perform Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov, Zoya?s Apartment by Mikhail Bulgakov, The Garnet Bracelet by Alexander Kuprin, The Classmates by Yuri Polyakov, Out of Order by Ray Cooney and La Bonne Anna by Marc Camoletti.
