Judicial power

In accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus judicial power in the country is wielded by courts.

The court system of the Republic of Belarus comprises:
- The Constitutional Court
- Law courts

All the legal proceedings are carried out according to the established procedure.
The establishment of extraordinary courts is forbidden.

Law courts of the Republic of Belarus

In the Republic of Belarus law courts deal with criminal cases, civil cases, administrative cases, and economic cases.

The law court system comprises:
- The Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus
- oblast courts (Minsk city court)
- district (town) courts
- economic courts of the oblasts and the city of Minsk

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus focuses on verifying the compliance of legal acts with the Constitution.
The Constitutional Court comprises 12 highly qualified law specialists.
