Belarusian, Sudanese oil industry scientists looking into cooperation prospectsGOMEL, 1 April (BelTA) – Prospects of reservoir and production engineering in Sudan as well as geological and geophysical exploration were discussed as a delegation of the Petroleum Laboratories, Research & Studies (PLRS) of Sudan visited the Belarusian oil industry corporation Belorusneft, the company’s press service told BelTA.
Specialists of the Belarusian company and the Sudanese one were made familiar with technologies, software, and experience of ongoing international projects. The guests were interested in the integrated projects designed to increase oil recovery and intensify oil extraction that the Belarusian company develops. Representatives of the Sudanese company were also impressed with the research center of Belorusneft’s oil industry institute BelNIPIneft as well as with the experience and professionalism of its specialists. The Sudanese delegation was made familiar with the work of the center where bore specimens are processed, stored, and researched.
The possible avenues of cooperation mentioned during the visit include lab research, reservoir and production engineering in Sudan. The sides are now analyzing the available information and preparing proposals.
